Informatica Cloud Data Integration pulls from source systems into S3, then Snowflake external stages or COPY INTO for hot data. Lineage registered in Informatica CDGC from the first table.

2. Model — Semantic layer, row-access, masking

Semantic models that Snowflake Cortex Analyst can query natively, row-access policies for who sees what, dynamic data masking for PII. dbt or Snowflake native for the transformations.

3. Query — Cortex Analyst + Prompt BI

The analyst opens Snowsight or the BI tool. The business user opens Prompt BI and asks in plain English. Same warehouse, two surfaces, same governance.
